1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Caprieasy ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Service Description

Caprieasy is a platform that connects property owners (Hosts) with guests seeking accommodation in Capri and surrounding areas. We facilitate bookings but are not a party to the rental agreement between Hosts and Guests.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• One person or entity may not maintain more than one account

3.2 Account verification

Hosts must complete Stripe verification and provide valid identification documents. We reserve the right to verify user identity at any time.

4. Bookings and Payments

4.1 Booking Process

• All bookings are subject to Host approval
• Payment is required to confirm a booking
• Prices are displayed in Euros (€) and include applicable taxes
• Platform fees are non-refundable

4.2 Non-Refundable Bookings

Some listings offer non-refundable rates with discounted prices. These bookings cannot be canceled for a refund except as required by law.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

5.1 Guest Cancellations

• Flexible: Full refund if canceled 24 hours before check-in
• Moderate: 50% refund if canceled 5 days before check-in
• Strict: 50% refund if canceled 30 days before check-in
• Non-refundable: No refund unless legally required

5.2 Host Cancellations

If a Host cancels a confirmed booking, the Guest receives a full refund including all fees. Hosts may face penalties for cancellations.

5.3 Refund Processing

Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days to the original payment method. Stripe processing fees are non-refundable.

6. Host Responsibilities

• Provide accurate listing descriptions, photos, and availability
• Maintain properties in clean and safe condition
• Respond to booking requests and messages promptly
• Comply with all local laws, regulations, and tax obligations
• Report all guests to Alloggiati Web (Italian police portal) as required by law
• Honor confirmed bookings or face account penalties

7. Guest Responsibilities

• Treat properties with respect and care
• Follow house rules specified in the listing
• Provide valid identification when requested
• Report any issues or damages immediately
• Comply with maximum occupancy limits
• Pay for any damages caused during the stay

8. Platform Fees

Caprieasy charges a platform fee on each booking:

• Guest fee: Varies by booking (typically 5-15%)
• Host commission: Deducted from payout (typically 10-20%)
• Fees are clearly shown before booking confirmation

9. Prohibited Activities

Users may not:

• Use the Platform for fraudulent or illegal purposes
• Create fake listings or bookings
• Circumvent the Platform to avoid fees
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
• Scrape or copy Platform content without permission
• Use automated systems to access the Platform

10. Limitation of Liability

Caprieasy acts as an intermediary platform. We are not responsible for:

• Quality, safety, or legality of listings
• Conduct of Hosts or Guests
• Property damage or personal injury
• Lost or stolen belongings
• Disputes between Hosts and Guests

Maximum Liability: Our total liability is limited to the amount of platform fees paid for the specific booking in question.

11. Dispute Resolution

In case of disputes:

1. Contact our support team at support@caprieasy.net
2. We will attempt mediation within 5 business days
3. Unresolved disputes are subject to Italian law and courts in Naples jurisdiction

12. Intellectual Property

All Platform content (logos, text, images, code) is owned by Caprieasy or licensed. Users grant us a non-exclusive license to use content they upload.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance. Major changes will be notified via email.

14. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent activity
• Multiple cancellations or poor reviews
• Non-payment or chargebacks
